These songs are all solo guitar improvisations, recorded by Ben Carver at the 2010 Harold Arts Residency Program in Chesterhill Ohio. The intent was to preserve the sound of a guitar through an amplifier, while using real time sampling to manipulate the attack and decay of the instrument to achieve an effect more commonly heard in electronic music than in guitar-based improvisation. The only effects used were two Akai Headrush looping pedals. The album was mastered by Michael Perkins at Shape Shoppe in Chicago, IL.
